Here are some projects I have worked on.

www.k2scuba.com
This is a maintenance project I took on in 2009 for client Tevis Verrett. Tevis needed PHP work done on his ecommerce site, specifically in the area of his shopping cart. Over time we have tweaked this and things like SEO to help make him the best scuba dealer in Southern Californian, and one of the most inspiring entrepreneurs I've had the please to meet and work with!

www.fieldsforlife.com
This is a fundraising web site for the Calgary Soccer Federation. I worked with designer Andrew Zoller on this project. I was responsible for all front and back end development work. I built all the needed HTML and CSS templates, then leveraged Wordpress as backend CMS. Selfishly, this was a good excuse to get my feet wet using Wordpress as a CMS, but it turned out to be exactly what the client needed and they are now able to update the content on their site whenever they want.

Helped with some client side coding on this project; HTML, CSS and jQuery.

I was approached in the summer of 2009 by sportsbras.ca web site owner Brigitte Lessard to update her web site so she could sell her products online. Before this she was manually taking orders. I helped her set up a web form for each product and integrated with PayPal to allow her to accept transactions online. I used PHP and Javascript to set up the form, validation, and calculation of shipping costs.

Great Western Plumbing and Heating is Adrian Moroz. Adrian approached me in the summer of 2007 to build his web site, and by October of that year, it was online. With a motive of attracting potential clients, the web site was created with search engine optimization in mind. With a goal to own the keywords COCHRANE ALBERTA PLUMBER, it now boasts very high rankings on both Google and Yahoo!. This can be attributed to the effort of proper markup, meta and relevant, changing content.

Photo of the mezz fund dot com web site

www.themezzfund.com
The mezz fund is a private Alberta-based company established to provide mezzanine financing to real estate developers. Originally launched in 2003, themezzfund.com was in need of a face lift, and that's what they got. With a more sleek, urban look, the site now speaks to its clientele, but maintains what they came there for—information.

Photo of airlines travel club dot com web site

www.airlinestravelclub.com
Originally launched in 1998, this is my oldest Web site. It has changed quite a bit over the years, and in September of 2007 was re-designed for the third time. Harry Sulley is a retired Air Canada employee who takes other airline employees, friends and families on trips to Italy, France, Banff and more. He uses the Web site to communicate his latest trips, show pictures of recent trips and have helpful links for clients. This web site uses a MySQL database to drive tour information and make it very easy to turn off tours once they have past.

www.amybondar.com
It is Amy Bondar's commitment, process and personal journey to stay at the forefront of the latest nutritional research so she can ensure the utmost certainty and care when creating your customized nutritional program. It was this thinking that lead her to spread what she does using her web site. Launching in September of 2007, Amy uses the web site to present information on what she does, where she will be speaking, and how to order her book.

Photo of calgary soul dot com web site

www.calgarysoul.com
This project took awhile, but was definitely worth the wait! Launched in June of 2006, Calgary Soul 2.0 utilizes a lot of the same functionality of the initial site (launched in 2003). Check out the cool new Photos section, and Humpty will be bustin' up some Freak Radio from time to time. Coming soon will be the ability for Member sign ups that allow them to have their own space on the site; making this more of a community portal for the Calgary soul scene.

Photo of mcadoo flow systems dot com web site

www.mcadooflowsystems.com
McAdoo introduced me to the powerful world of flow systems. Another PHP, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript web site featuring a Javascript image swap functionality in the Products section. This site was worked on in the winter of 2005/2006.

Photo of jog capital dot com web site

www.jogcapital.com
This site was created in 2004. It is the first of many I hope to work on with calgarysoul.com's Jeff Humphreys. Not only a great DJ, Jeff is a very talented designer. You can check out more of his designs at soulmedia.ca. Once again, Jeff came up with a killer design and I helped out with the Web programming of this site. Some of the main things we needed on the site, was an automated stock quotes section, a client login area, and a navigation system with some drop-down areas. The Web technologies used on this site include HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL.
